Dr. Ilona Fotek had completed her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Jagiellonian University School of Dentistry in Poland in 2002 and acquired additional training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She later followed her education in Graduate Operative Dentistry which she completed receiving a Masters in Science Degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Furthermore, she was appointed to a University teaching position, educating dental students and reinforcing specific concepts learned during her residency.
In 2007, Dr. Fotek moved to South Florida where she continued her dedication to dentistry, now in private practice. Dentistry has drastically changed over the years and is constantly evolving. The materials and techniques utilized today are far more advanced than ever before. Being young and active, Dr. Fotek has spent many hours each year dedicating to continuing education. Participating in study groups and maintaining active memberships in numerous dental societies like the renowned Dawson Academy, allows her to maintain and implement current philosophies and treatments available and offer these to her patients. Dr. Fotek’s area of special interest is holistic approach to create healthy and naturally beautiful smiles. Her feminine touch, artistic finesse and special attention to details makes her sought after and highly recognized by her patients.
Dr. Fotek is a devoted mother to her daughter and son and a loving wife to her husband with whom she shares common interests in dentistry. As a family, they enjoy travelling, skiing, tennis and piano, implementing pH balanced diet and a healthy holistic lifestyle.
