Tongue Diagnosis by Alyse Shockey

Alyse will be discussing why we need to be concerned with analyzing the tongue. She will review tongue geography, mapping, sections and orientation such as color, coating, cracks, scalloping, spots and veins under the tongue. Best of all she will be sharing real cases of implementation. Early detection of irregular tongue patterns can save lives!

 

“Alyse Shockey, RDH, CHHP, CSOM has three decades of professional experience in dentistry and holistic medicine. Alyse’s interest in Complementary and Alternative Medicine led her to years of advanced study, including Washington Institute of Natural Medicine, Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences, Upledger Institute and others. She earned the title of Certified Specialist in Orofacial Myology and has been on the front lines with early sleep, swallow and breathing disorder detection and serves on the ADA Children’s Airway Screener Taskforce. Alyse incorporates and educates others on the latest scientific research on airway-centered dentistry into practical clinical assessments.

She is a subject matter expert on Tongue Analysis and Founder of HH Wellness, Tongue University™ and The Root Camp™ where she developed her unique approach for addressing both physical and emotional root causes of illness. Her additional expertise topic is on environmental safety, addressing electromagnetic field exposure and how it silently affects the dental office.
