Learning has always been fundamental to our missions
It’s why our organization was founded in 1985 by Drs. Edward Arana and Gary Verigin. We focus on the HOW of biological dentistry – so you can provide your patients with comprehensive mouth/body care.
Certification shows that you have a well-defined knowledge base and understanding of treatment protocols in line with the broad concept of biological dentistry. Your certification badge stands as a kind of seal of approval.
Only those who have completed our certification process may call themselves “Certified Biological Dentists”, “Certified Biological Hygienists”, or “Certified Biological Dental Assistants”.

Certification for Dentists, Hygienists and Staff
In addition to confirming your knowledge of biological dentistry, certification gets your profile placed in our online directory of biological dentists. We now list everyone, but the certified members come first.
Basic Certification (C-IABDM)
The first level of certification involves coursework, an online exam, and presentation of two amalgam removal cases to our education committee. Twenty-five (25) hours of PACE CE are available.
The exam is designed as a learning experience. Each question includes resources and reading materials to educate you in biological dentistry. Topics covered include homeopathy, meridians, basics of mercury removal, fluoride, and cavitations.
Biological RDH Certification
We believe that the entire staff should be on the same page on many essential things in a Biological Office. We completely understand that each job is different, but exposing a staff member to what patients may be inquiring about is critical. Once completed, the staff will have a project for completion, like an article worthy of publishing with scientific references, or a PowerPoint worthy of putting on a website with voice-over, or a video worthy of putting on a website. Once the project has been submitted and accepted, you will have a short oral interview with the credentialing committee over Zoom or another virtual platform.
This is a 25-hour course. The CE is NOT dividable as it is a course.
Biological RDA / Staff Certification
