Por más que busquemos tratar marcadores con medicamentos y otras intervenciones, si no atacamos la causa de raíz, sólo lograremos una mejoría parcial. Hoy en día el enfoque en medicina es ir a buscar y tratar las causas de las enfermedades. En el caso de las enfermedades crónicas, muchas veces encontramos el origen en la resistencia a la insulina. Es importante poder abordar esto para lograr mejorar la salud y calidad de vida de los pacientes con enfermedades crónicas.
