Joan Sefcik, DDS

Dr. Joan Sefcik grew up in San Antonio. She attended St. Mary’s University and was accepted early to Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been practicing in Austin for over 38 years and Biological Dentistry for the past 29 years. Her biological family practice follows the Huggins Protocol for safe removal of mercury fillings and provides surgical procedures for complete removal of teeth and bone infections and ozone therapy in a relaxed, caring environment. Biocompatibility blood testing for dental materials as well as genetic testing for identification of bacteria in root canals or cavitations are also available at her office.
Dr. Sefcik has received TIME Magazine’s 2012 Best Doctors and Dentists Award. She is a member of The Weston Price Foundation, Dental Amalgam Mercury Solutions, The International Association of Mercury Safe Dentistry, The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and is a past president and current board member and on the certification committee for the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine.
