Dr. Shields is passionate about making Jacksonville smile! Born and raised in the area, she returned to her hometown to open her dental practice. Dr. Shields holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida where she also minored in Dance. She continued her studies in Gainesville as the University of Florida College of Dentistry where she graduated at the head of her class. Dr. Shields’ husband Don is a United States Army veteran who served in “Operation Enduring Freedom” in Afghanistan. Dr. Shields continues to enjoy dance and also loves nights on the town with friends and family. She closely follows the Gator Nation and SEC football.
