Dr. Richard Porcelli is a biologic, biomimetic, and cosmetic dentist who helps patients restore health, comfort, and confidence through a whole-mouth, whole-body approach. Patients often seek Dr. Porcelli for complex needs such as biologic oral surgery, implants, full-mouth reconstruction, bite and TMJ disorders, airway-focused dentistry, and natural-looking cosmetic smile design.

Dr. Porcelli received his dental education at New York University and has pursued extensive advanced training in the U.S. and internationally. His practice is proud to be one of the first Ghanaati Certified Centers in the United States, following advanced biologic surgical principles taught in Boston-Tufts University, in Germany and Switzerland under Professor Ghanaati. These protocols focus on true bone healing after extractions, healthy blood supply, inflammation control, and long-term stability — not simply closing the gums and hoping the bone heals underneath.

He has also trained in biologic dentistry and systemic health approaches through Dr. Rau in Switzerland, and he integrates nutritional and metabolic foundations through training with Dr. Dome and the Real B’s. Dr. Porcelli is Protect Protocol certified and SMART certified for safe mercury amalgam removal and prioritizes biocompatible, non-toxic materials selected to support the patient’s overall health.

At the Biological Center for Dentistry, we combine advanced diagnostics with supportive therapies that enhance healing and comfort, including ozone therapy and red-light/photobiomodulation therapy, alongside a carefully personalized treatment plan.

Dr. Porcelli attributes all of his accomplishments and success to his number one passion — his family life. He is married to his beautiful Romanian wife Alina, who is also in the health profession. Together they have two loving and amazing children, Matei Christian and Milla Sophia. He practices in  Hilton Head Island | Savannah area.
