Dr. Ilene knew at a very early age she wanted to be an orthodontist. After completing a bachelor of science degree from Texas Christina University, she attended Baylor College of Dentistry, now Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. An Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia prepared her for a 7-year career with her father as a general dentist. She completed her residency at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University, and started her own successful practice in San Angelo, Texas. When a medical condition required early retirement, she was able to retire and allow patients to continue care as a result of the sale of her practice. Now Dr. Ilene is passionate about introducing and educating doctors and team members about the Synapse Dental Pain Eraser, which she used on a regular basis to provide electronic dental anesthesia to her patients. As a member of numerous dental and orthodontic associations, Dr. Ilene has obtained the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
