Kurt A. LeJeune, DDS
A native of Jennings, Louisiana, Dr. LeJeune attended McNeese State University from 1981-1985. While at McNeese, he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In 1989 he graduated from Louisiana State University School of Family Dentistry, and has practiced family dentistry in the Baton Rouge Area since June of 1989.
Initially, Dr. LeJeune focused his continuing education in cosmetic dentistry. Next, he expanded his focus into orthodontics, temporomandibular dysfunction, and head, neck, and facial pain. In the early 2000’s, Dr. LeJeune expanded his practice into the treatment of sleep disorders dentistry. Dr. LeJeune was one of the first dentists in Louisiana to treat people with Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring using dental appliances. Dr. LeJeune co-treats and works intimately with physicians when treating patients who suffer from sleep apnea or snoring with dental appliances to help reach a clinically predictable and acceptable outcome. In addition, he is a founding member of the Dental Organization for Sleep Apnea. He is also a member of the American Treating Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
In 2005, Dr. LeJeune achieved and was awarded fellowship in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain. In 2011, Dr. LeJeune became certified in the placement of non-titanium, Z System Implants. Most recently, Dr. LeJeune has become a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and is certified in the use and placement of Botox® and dermal fillers.
In addition to his other professional memberships, Dr. LeJeune is also a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and the East Baton Rouge Parish Dental Association, and Academy of General Family Dentistry. Moreover, Dr. LeJeune is certified in the Dr. Bob Marshal/Premier Research Amalgam Removal Protocol. In November 2013, Dr. LeJeune earned certification in Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain.
