Speaker(s) & Bio:
Dr. Darren Schmidt, D.C. is the founder of the Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor, the largest non-insurance nutrition clinic in the U.S. His 7-Step Blueprint to Optimal Health and MVX Plus blood test position him as a leader in root-cause foundational nutrition. He began practicing in 1997 and was early to adopt low-carb, keto, and carnivore—while always focusing on detox, nourishment, and restoring function. In 2005, he stopped accepting insurance to ensure clinical results weren’t compromised. He has delivered over 100 seminars to 10,000+ healthcare professionals and continues to advance natural solutions for chronic disease.
Course Description:
Introducing A New, Simple, and Inexpensive Blood Test That Can Measure, Guide, and Track the 6 Most Important Factors of Health.
1) Learn what MVX Plus is: Metabolic Vulnerability Index to measure the soil upon which chronic disease and mortality grows.
2) Learn the “7 Step Blueprint to Optimal Health” which is the solution to improve MVX.
3) Learn what the 6 Factors of MVX Plus are and their correct reference ranges.
4) Learn the “Follow The Physiology” concept on how to think with MVX.
5) Learn MVX’s effectiveness in predicting longevity.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Define mitochondrial dysfunction and lactic acidosis, and explain their role as the central mechanism of chronic illness.
- Identify the three primary causes of chronic disease as described by the presenter: toxins, pathogens, and excess sugar/poor nutrition.
- Explain the role of Vitamin B1 (thiamine) as a rate-limiting factor for mitochondrial function and describe its clinical significance.
- Describe the MVX+ Metabolic Vulnerability Index and its three component indices as tools for assessing cellular health and longevity.
- Discuss the relationship between malnutrition — specifically protein and B1 deficiency — and systemic chronic disease, and implications for the biological dental practice.
