- Step Two: Watch Biological Essentials, a 17 module course covering the rudiments of biological dentistry and pass each post-module exam with a score of 80% or better.
- You MUST show proof of having taken an ozone course AND HAVE INVESTED IN APPROPRIATE MEDICAL GRADE OZONE GENERATOR EQUIPMENT (THEY CAN RUN FROM RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE AT ABOUT $700 TO THE FLAGSHIP MODELS AT ABOUT $7000) . The following courses are accepted.
- Phil Mollica comes to you or you can come to his office.
- KT seminars – $997 with 5 hours of CE
- Dr’s Robert Harris and Griffin Cole can come to your practice.
- Presentation of two amalgam removal cases using the PROTECT Protocol
For the case presentation, the candidate will submit before/after and pre-op radiographic images at least 48 hours before their presentation. Word, PowerPoint or standard image formats (e.g., .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png) are acceptable. The candidate and examiner will meet via Zoom, Skype, or other conferencing platform to discuss the case. Points to be covered include:
- Pertinent medical history.
- Dental status.
- Your protocol for safe amalgam removal.

Candidates for Mastership must be an IABDM Fellow in good standing with five years of membership in the Academy. You must prove you have taken courses in 2 of the following areas: Nutrition, Airway/Myofunctional Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, EAV, Muscle Testing/Kinesiology, Ozone, and Chinese Tongue Diagnosis. If you are looking to take another course not listed, you can submit it for approval from the education committee. You also need to present one more case study or article of your choice (the criterion is the same as Fellow).
You must show proof of lecture experience- in an academic setting, online, at a conference, etc. OR active recruitment of a minimum of 6 new members from the dental community. This establishes you as a teacher and proponent of the practice of biological dentistry- one we would be proud to claim and help share the word.

Twenty-five (25) hours of PACE CE are available.
The exam is designed as a learning experience. Each question includes resources and reading materials to educate you in biological dentistry. Topics covered include homeopathy, meridians, basics of mercury removal, fluoride, and cavitations.

- Attendance at one of our annual meetings: We removed this due to COVID and the fact that we put the Bio 101 in the video modules.
- Step Two: Watch Biological Essentials, a 17 module course covering the rudiments of biological dentistry and pass each post-module exam with a score of 80% or better.
- You MUST show proof of having taken an ozone course AND HAVE INVESTED IN APPROPRIATE MEDICAL GRADE OZONE GENERATOR EQUIPMENT (THEY CAN RUN FROM RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE AT ABOUT $700 TO THE FLAGSHIP MODELS AT ABOUT $7000) . The following courses are accepted.

Fellowship (FIABDM)

You must also have taken a course in nutrition, such as our online course designed and taught by Dr. Al Danenberg.
You must also present a case study which must include a biological extraction, a research project or peer-reviewed article, and proof of 4 hours of community service.
Once you achieve Fellowship, you can get any staff members in your office certified for free.

Certification for Hygienists, Assistants, & Staff (BRDH or BRDA)

You can earn your registration in four easy steps – and earn 25 hours of PACE CE in the process.
Step one: If you haven’t done so already, become a member of the IABDM.
Step two: View Biological Essentials, a 17 module course covering the rudiments of biological dentistry and pass each post-module exam with a score of 80% or better.

- Write an article about using natural approaches in an oral cavity and submit it to our education committee for review.
- Complete a small study and present it to our education committee via Skype.
- Do a PowerPoint case presentation about a patient that shows you thinking outside the box of a regular hygiene visit and submit it to our education committee for review.
- Do a video worthy of being on YouTube about a topic in biological dentistry. Be creative and make it fun!
